The brass version appears to be pleasantly solid and the mechanism works well, but the hole that catches the latch is a bit large causing a slightly loose fit when window is closed. One may need to inset the catch a millimeter or two deeper, with then will cause the surfaces of the latch and the catch to not align anymore (alternatively one can fill the catch hole with epoxy lining in order to get a tighter fit). I'll just leave it with the loose fit for now.

Very satisfied with the Spring catch and striker. Made of good quality and also looks good where it is fitted.
